Thank you to all those who helped make Monday 5th of December, our "Toys for Tots Day',a great success! Each year we end up with a swag of presents we then donate to the Salvo's to help those in need. This year was no different - we were able to dontae a large amount of toys (including a bike!) to Cheryl from the Salvation Army.
Dr Brett's Op
On the 5th of December Brett had some minor panel beating work to help with his hip and restore his movement. Unfortunately, this means that he won’t be treating in December but he can do his running workshops and exercise therapy appointments of a Thursday evening. Brett is recovering well and should be back to full duties on Monday 9th January.
Dr Brett’s Running Workshops
Most of you know that Dr Brett has been a professional runner, having run in the semi finals of the Stawell Gift. He has extensive knowledge of running technique and methods to improve running efficency (ie to make running easier). He has decided to make this knowledge available in a series of Running Workshops. Aimed at any runner from beginner to semi professional, they include an individualised biomechanical analysis, including individualised video analysis. The workshops are available on Thursday nights, last for 1.5 hours, are limited to groups of 3 - 10, and Dr Brett will come to you ( well - up to 30 km from the clinic). They cost $60 per head and are claimable through most private health insurances. These will be available even when Dr Brett is off recuperating during December.

Dr Anne's Maternity Leave
Dr. Anne Pye, Chinese Medicine / Acupuncture doctor par extraordinaire is on maternity leave from December to about April. Her herbal dispensary will be well stocked, and herbal medicines will be available from the clinic during her leave. She has arranged for a local accupuncturist to provide continuing care for everyone who needs it, please ring the clinic for more information.
Kid's Clinic
On Saturday Feburary 18th we will be holding our next Kid’s Clinic. This is a FREE clinic for any child we have not previously adjusted. We can perform a physical, do a scoliosis check or even fit school back packs for a child you know. Ring the Clinic on 54282669 to book your appointment you would like and reserve your place NOW. We have been holding Kid’s Clinics for years and they are open to anyone we haven’t previously cared for. So, if you want little Jenny or Johnny to have a no-obligation check, have their back pack properly fitted, or just want the peace of mind of knowing that they’re OK, make a booking.
Other Stuff
Dr. Simon is just finishing with this years Neuroscience teaching. Now that he has a little more time he is writing up a case study to complete his Masters degree in Neurology. He is really looking forward to a family holiday this Christmas. Simon has also just submitted a grant application to the National Rural and Remote Health Infrastructure Program (NRRHIP) government initiative in the hope of securing some funding for some diagnostic equipment, to be used in the assessment and management of dizzy/balance patients. We don't know when we will find out but we're keeping all of our fingers and toes crossed!
Dr. Daniel will be extending his paediatric qualifications in the New Year, when he starts a 3 year Diploma in Chiropractic Paediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Along with wishing you a safe and Merry Christmas, he asks that you keep the Kids safe when enjoying summer water activities.
In early January, Dr. Bruce will be in Tasmania as part of the team for the 15th Australian Venture - his part will be running an ‘Expedition’, teaching Advanced Scuba Diving. He is also running regular 1st Aid courses (level 2 or HLTFA 301B) so, if anyone is interested, please contact the clinic.
