Rehabilitation and Exercise Therapy
All of our practitioners routinely incorporate stretches and exercises into their treatment plans, as well as soft tissue techniques such as trigger point therapy and massage. This includes strategies to improve felxibility and reduce pain, and the all important 'core stability'. Our chiropractors don't always or only adjust spines (''crack backs"), but also pay special attention to how your muscles and nervous system is working to support your joints, and allow you to move as a whole person.
Exercise Therapy
Gisborne Chiropractic & Healthcare provides Exercise Therapy consultations -developed by Dr. Brett Jarosz (Sports Chiropractor) - which combines the latest medical research into spinal stability, exercise rehabilitation and optimal performance training.
Before attending an Exercise Therapy session, people must attend an initial consultation with one of the chiropractors at Gisborne Chiropractic & Healthcare, which allows for a full health and medical history, physical assessment and individualization of your program (for home and/or clinic) to achieve your goals.
Whether you are attempting to improve your spinal (core) stability, recover from injury, reduce pain, or enhance sports performance, the Exercise Therapy consultations are designed to realize your health care outcomes.
Dr Brett Jarosz has a special interest and particular skill in advanced injury rehabilitation. In fact, he currently teaches it to senior chiropractic students at RMIT. Having had a previous career in pre and rehabilitation, Dr Brett can provide all the usual post injury rehabilitation, as well as pre and post-surgery rehabilitation (such as knee or hip replacement surgery, shoulder surgery, knee arthroscopes etc). This is particularly usefull for those that are getting a little older and need such surgeries, and also for high level athletes, who need to get back on track asap.
If you have any specific rehabilitation questions, or want to know if we can help, call our staff or chat to Dr Brett.
