Dr. Bruce Ellis, JP Chiropractor
BAppSc(Chiro), MChiroSc, BBSc, DipAppSc(Hum Biol), GradCertChiroPaeds, FACC, MCAA
Dr Bruce moved his family to Gisborne in 1981 and started practice in December of that year. He has been in continuous practice in Gisborne ever since.
As well as a Bachelor in Behavioural Science, he has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chiropractic, a post graduate Masters in Chiropractic Science and a post graduate Certificate in Paediatrics.
Dr. Bruce has a broad spectrum practice, using natural and herbal medicines along with kinesiology and a number of different chiropractic techniques to aid your healing.
While running the Gisborne practice, Dr. Bruce has taught at both RMIT and the Australian College of Natural Medicine. The Gisborne practice has been and is currently used by RMIT for extern training for many years. In 1998, Dr. Bruce was asked to join the Education Commttee of the Victorian Chiropractors Registration Board and in 2005 he was appointed to the Board itself.
Elected to Life Membership of Chiropractors Association of Australia in 2008 (the youngest person to be awarded life membership), Dr. Bruce has been awarded the Presidential Certificate of Appreciation by the Chiropractors Association of Australia (National) in 1998 and 2005,. He was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in 1999, a Outstanding Service Award in 2001, and was adjudged the Chiropractor of the Year in 2002 by the Victorian branch of the Chiropractors Association of Australia. He was the Macedon Ranges Citizen of the Year in 2005 and was presented with the Silver Wattle Medal for Outstanding Service to Scouting in 2006.
Bruce spreads his time over his family, chiropractic, scouting and scuba diving.

Dr. Simon Brice - Chiropractor

Dr. Simon Brice has been in practice in Gisborne since completing his studies in 2002. Dr. Simon first completed a Bachelors degree in Human Biology and had a small stint in microvascular research, before going on to complete his two Bachelor Degrees for his chiropractic qualification (Clinical Science and Chiropractic Science).
In 2004-2005 Dr. Simon also worked as a PHCRED Research Fellow in the Department of General Practice at The University of Melbourne, before becoming an Honorary Fellow since that time until February 2012. He was also inducted as a founding member of the newly formed Australasian College of Chiropractors (one of only about 100 across the world) for his services to chiropractic through research.
Dr. Simon has also been an examiner for RMIT, examining senior chiropractic students, and an examiner for the Victorian Registration Board examining overseas trained doctors of chiropractic. He was involved in chiropractic student selection for numerous years. Simon has taught senior students within the RMIT teaching clinics for a number of years, supervising patient management and conducting specialised tutorials, and supervising research writing groups. He is currently lecturing Neuroscience at Endeavour College of Natural Health (formerly ACNM) to Musculoskeletal Therapy degree students.
Dr. Simon's practice interests include families, sports injuries and neurolgical conditions such as balance disorders and dizziness/vertigo. Dr. Simon has completed a two-year course in functional neurology, which he hopes to complete as a Masters Degree in Neurological Science by finishing a thesis as soon as he can!
Dr. Simon has been nominated for a Powercor Macedon Ranges Business Excellence award, in the category of Customer Service. He has also recently been accepted as a member of the Australasin Academy of Functional Nuerology.
Simon is married with two young duaghters. When not studying/writing up research, lecturing or in chiropractic practice he divides his time between his wife Stacey, keeping fit and pretending to understand guitars, golf and wood-work.

Dr. Brett Jarosz - Chiropractor
BAppSc(CompMed), MClinChiro, ICSSD, CertPT, MCAA, MSCA, MFICS
Dr. Brett Jarosz is a practicing sports chiropractor who joined the Gisborne Chiropractic Clinic in December 2008. He has a strong practice interest in athletic and sporting injuries; neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation; corrective exercise therapy; and optimizing athletic performance. Besides sports chiropractic, Brett also has practice interests which include: running biomechanics/technique efficiency; pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation; families; as well as pre- and postnatal care.
Brett graduated from RMIT University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Complementary Medicine and a Master of Clinical Chiropractic in 2008, both degrees achieved with Distinction. In 2006, Brett was the Australian Spinal Research Foundation (ASRF) Chiropractic Student Research Award winner at RMIT University. He also received the Chiropractors Association of Australia (National) Academic Excellence Award that same year. In 2008, Brett was awarded the Chiropractors Association of Australia (National) Graduate of the Year and received the CAA Excellence in Chiropractic Science Award, as well as the RMIT Chiropractic Diagnostic Radiology award. In 2010 he was awarded his International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma from the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic.
While practicing in Gisborne, Brett also lectures Rehabilitation & Exercise Therapy; Clinical Nutrition; and Advanced Rehabilitation, in the undergraduate and postgraduate Chiropractic degrees at RMIT University. In 2010, he was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the RMIT University College of Science, Engineering and Health for an outstanding teaching score. Brett is also currently completing another Post-graduate Diploma in Sports Chiropractic through Murdoch University (Perth, WA), as well as studying Functional Neurology in the post-graduate neurology program provided by the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies (Florida, USA).
Brett is a member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia (CAA); Sports Chiropractic Australia (SCA) and the Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS). He also has a role as a reviewer for the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and the Chiropractic Journal of Australia. Brett’s research interests include: sports medicine; clinical and sports chiropractic; clinical assessment and diagnosis; functional neurology; manual therapy; exercise therapy; and rehabilitation. He has numerous publications within international peer-reviewed journals regarding sports chiropractic; clinical assessment and diagnosis; multi-modal management; ergogenic aids; and rehabilitation.

Marsha Ellis
RN, BSc(HlthSci), BHSc(MST), MNA, FRCNA, MANTA.
Marsha is both an experienced clinician and an experienced educator of nurses and other health practitioners. Marsha’s main areas of interest are musculoskeletal therapy, women’s health issues and the non-invasive treatment of urinary incontinence, particularly, but not exclusively, in women.

Dr. Daniel Chatfield - Paediatric Chiropractic
Dr. Dan Chatfield is the most recent addition to our clinic team. Dr. Dan takes over from Dr. Paul Chamberlain in running our children-only paediatric practice, now on Monday mornings. Dr. Dan has completed post graduate paediatric training. He is also been a registered nurse for several years. Dr. Dan brings a wealth of experience to the team, particularly having 4 children himself.

Andrew Williams- Remedial Massage Therapist
B Sc (Monash), Dip Rem Mass (VU)
A Macedon Ranges resident for nine years, Andrew has a Diploma of Remedial Massage (Victoria University) and a Bachelor of Science (Monash University). He is also a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists and Sports Medicine Australia (Soft Tissue Therapist). Coming to massage as a career change with passion and dedication, he commenced practice in the Macedon Ranges and Melbourne in 2007. His background is in areas as diverse as science, broadcasting, arts administration and publicity. His practice name, Smart Balance Massage, is a reflection of being smart and proactive about balancing both body and mind through massage.
As a remedial massage therapist, Andrew’s approach is to systematically assess and treat dysfunction of most of the body’s soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (connective tissue), always keeping the client’s needs foremost with compassion, integrity, dedication and professionalism.

Dr. Anne Pye - Doctor of Chinese Medicine
MAppSc(Acup), BHSc(OT), AdvDipTCM, MCMRB, MAACMA
Anne is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria. She has a Masters degree in Applied Science in Acupuncture, an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Bachelor degree in Health Science (OT). While completing her Masters degree, her research focus was on the treatment of Depression with acupuncture.
Anne has been working in private practise since 2003, working in both rural and metropolitan clinical settings in Victoria. Prior to this, her clinical experience extends to hospital, rehabilitation and community health care settings as an Occupational Therapist.
Anne works with people with a wide range of conditions. She has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions, supporting people with chronic conditions such as MS, cancer support, fertility, women’s health and families. Anne is passionate about supporting people to take an active role in their own healthcare. Nutrition, exercise, stress reduction and other lifestyle choices are all essential for establishing a solid foundation for maintaining wellness, preventing illness and treating any condition.
Anne is also a qualified meditation teacher and currently facilitates a mindfulness-based meditation group in Riddells Creek. This group is based on the meditation style developed and taught at the Gawler Foundation, and focuses on supporting health, wellbeing and recovery from illness.
